Does anyone know a tool I can use to help me figure out why Google does not seem to like my optimization. On Key words, if there are two or multiple key words that go with your theme, how is the best way to get Google to pick all three of them up. Yahoo seems to do it well. Seems I misspelled analytical and I can't edit it.

I assume you are having good content related to the keywords and then also if you are not doing well in google you probably lack good quality links with the anchor text to your pages.

Well... I like my content... but when I wrote it, and designed the site, I did not take into account optimization. I know I have a problem with the right keywords showing up and internal links from the home page. I think I also have some problems with keywords coming in. I think Google is only picking up the first word in a multi-word Keyword. I found some tools that are okay, under SEOchat I was just wondering if anyone knew of some great tools that analyze sites from Google's prospective.

Well Google isn't exactly open with their algorithm so you probably won't find any specific Google tools that will tell you anything other than where your pages rank for a given keyphrase.

If the sites in question are the ones in your signature I think it may be a case of being in a competitve industry. shabbirbhimani is right in that quality links with keyphrases in the anchor text will probably be the most important thing with Google.

Thankyou guys for your information. As usual, it is very helpful and accurate. Yes, Vangogh, it is about the two sites I have listed. I did find a tool on SEO chat that let me see basically what Google was looking at. I don't like it. No, not at all. I can do much better. First, I think the Spider is looking at Russian all by itself. The line of keywords that it sees arn't even close to the main ones. I think changing the link URLs will help.

Changing urls isn't go to make a big difference. And if you don't redirect right you're just losing anything you've already gained to this point. I really think it's just the competitive nature of what I'm guessing are you keywords and it will just take time and links before Google returns the site in the results.

You may also want to target longer phrases in the search tail that are less competitive while you build links for the site. Obsessing over minor changes though really isn't the way to go. They have just as much chance of working against you than for you.

Thankyou Vangogh. What do you mean, "longer phrases in the Search Tail" My title is A Russian Sweet. Should I change that to Russian Brides?

What I mean by longer phrases is adding more words to the phrase you target. I'm not really sure what the best words to ad would be, but looking at your site it might be something like 'russian sweet dating service.' You're still optimized for russian sweet since it's in there, but also for the phrase with either dating, service or both added. There should be less competition for the four word phrase than the two word phrase.

It mught also mean being more specific in words. For example using ukrainian instead of russian. With longer tail keyphrases you generally target different pages of the site for different keyphrases. Each phrase won't bring as much traffic as the shorter term, but when you add it up over the pages on the site it could still bring quite a lot of traffic.

Tools like that can be ok if you're new to seo, but don't automatically listen to everything it says. It gives importance to a few things that aren't worth bothering with and it's actually wrong about a few things. Ok to use, but not to follow blindly.
