I am not very sad at it because now i think Google is trying to become more powerful than webmasters.

comScore Report

Yahoo has gained and MSN is at no gain no loss.

Yahoos gain is probably due to them releasing thier new homepage. Give it a month or so and it will all be back to normal when everyone has seen the new yahoo page and go back to using google..

Well, you're right, Google is going down nowadays. I think they're putting much effort and time into developing other thingys like Adwords, Adsense, Blogger etc that they dont have time to reform " Ye olde" Google Search(lol). Well, even if Yahoo! is gaining, google still has the upper hand as for now. But, I think they're misusing they're popularity as the best search engine to market their other products. It really bad to see this happening. Because Google's relevancy is decreasing day by day and because I'm a big Google junky.

Well, I always hated MSN because they belong to evil Microsoft(). Well, I hate Yahoo! for liking Microsoft. I love google because they promote open source. But if this go on like this, google is gonna be Open Crap. Well, I also got some statistics to show. Its given below.

Google employ a 70, 20, 10 ratio on their projects.
This means they spend 70% of resources on thier main business (search), 20% on other projects combined (blogger, images, google video) and 10% trying to find new things to do. So they don't spend any less time or effort on search now than they ever have.

A 1% drop is nothing to worry about, Especially when they still account for 50% of all searches on the internet.

The "share of searches" figure is also extremely misleading, because it doesn't take into account the number of new Internet users and/or increase in searches in general.

For example, if the number of searches went up from 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 for a month (obviously it will be a lot higher than this, but just to keep it simple) and Google's share dropped from 50% to 49%, there are still more searches being done on Google (since 50% of 1,000,000 = 500,000 and 49% of 1,500,000 = 735,000).

So before anyone can comment or judge, more numbers would need to be provided and quite a few of them.
