Has anyone had any luck modifying gmail-lite or libgmailer.php?

So I think it's great, I've got a custom logo for the company I work for and it filters out almost 3000 SPAM messages a week (just for me). As far as I am concerned it is perfect, except for the ads, I nor anyone else at this company minds them but we want to introduce clients to it. For the SPAM filtering alone it is worth it.

So I found gmail-lite and tried to modify it to work with Google/hosted but no luck.

Please let me know if anyone has had luck doing what I am attempting.

and sign up, you'll get gmail, talk, calendar, and page creator for your site. soon you'll be able to modify your login page.

I set up apps.mydomain.com and will be doing something similar for clients once google expands a bit.
