I have a Google Mini set up using the SMB protocol. When perform a search with it, links on the search page appear with http://googlesearch/getFile?origUrl= in from of smb:// ..... and space characters are displayed in the URL as %2520. It works for both Folders and Files on the intranet.
However, once you follow a subsequent link from a folder, the prefix is dropped and spaces are changed to %20. This causes "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" error to appear, regardless of what the page was supposed to contain.
I know that the software needs to be updated to version 4.4.102.M.36 (this is an M2 model), but I didn't see any mention of this problem in any of the bug fixes.
I'm wondering if it's just a setting that needs to be changed. Alternativly, I'm wondering if the chosen protocol is incorrect, and I need to use a web-enabled file share via Apache Web Server or Microsoft IIS. Links from documents and folders are just formatted differently, and if you manually add the prefix and change the space encoding, the desired files do show up.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I've been looking to solve this problem for a while. I am definitely upgrading the version (system and software) on it though.
