I gave a one of my sites a much needed overhall and resulted in gaining PR5 on the home page during the last PR update. Sadly I lost all my PR 3 for sub pages (but i did change it quit a lot).

Whats the best method of filtering PR down into my sub pages. Ive read that links to and from the home page within the site helps (which I have).

So I am guessing that having renamed many sections of the site I will just have to wait for google to come back around and re PR my sub pages.

I did a complete site upgrade which changed some names of the directories. Those that remained have increased to PR 4 but new names have 0.

I guess its a case of them been new names and will have to wait untill Google comes back round to get their PR up again.

Cheers all

You link to your internal pages from your home page, but it takes Google quite a long time to get around to ranking internal pages, compared to the time it takes to get the home page ranked.

It also helps to get traffic directly to internal pages, rather than through the home page (paid links, forum signitures, etc.).

In my experience, the best you can do with internal page PR is -1 from home page PR. I'm sure there are exceptions, but that's my experience.

Ya you are right if you have just renamed the files then you would have to wait for the next update for Google to show you your PR for those pages.
