Moments before writing this post the news broke that google have now successfully purchased YouTube for the sum of $1.65 billion in an all stock transaction.

According to some sources it has become known that Yahoo! were also in talks and were also bidding on the purchase of youtube.

Yea. That's big news.

The possible purchase was talked about in the Wall Street Journal and several blogs the past couple days.

i've created some gems but big G never seems to be interested in buying them!

I dont think Google will benefit a lot with this purchase, but will definitely have an upper-hand over its share in internet empire.

Well its not so they have bought it after planning something.
