How do you know if your site is blacklisted? I would like to know if there is some way of knowing how to check your domains on this so called "black list" Also, does google also block IP's, where people have been doing scheduled submitting too much or other mal practice. Another thing I am curious about is can someone else who is in compitition with you get you blacklisted? I work in a cut throat business and those people wouldn't hesitate putting my domain in their submitter or spam in my name and get me blocked on google. What kind of ways can people hurt you? and how can I protect myself from this?

very good question...

another thing I had thought about is sometimes I get those "mail could not be sent" emails... I get spam to me from others but it says that the sender is one of my own mail accounts! Can they be sending out SPAM and using my email addresses as their own?

Hey, I get that too. If I understand you correctly your getting e-mail from a spammer that is using a program to hide his identity and reverses the sender. If you click on "more details" on your business mail then It will show you who the real sender is. My guess is that you do not have a private reg. domain and a spammer got your domain email and is spamming you. I would also suggest that you turn off your catch all folder so you only get emails to your actually me@thisisme.com because they are sending you stuff like, webmasters@thisisme.com or sales@thisisme.com

Google is smart enough to know about them and is intelligent enough to take care of this.

Many times I get email saying to exchnage links or he will click on adsense block me but I never respond to such emails and I am doing fine with adsense for 2 years now and if adsense can detect that I am sure the search will not be any different as far as google is concerned.

What does this have to do with my post? I havent been on this site but a few days so I didn't want to say anything about all the add and spam but this is irritating. You think you have someone replying to your post and you go to look and it a (*&^*&^ add. I was under the impression you have to reply 5 times prior to posting which is what I did. This guy has one post and is spamming my thread. Can someone tell me whats going on?

If your site gets de-indexed by Google and never gets re-indexed even after months then you have been blacklisted, normally a site is blacklisted only if it spams.

Use this to see if you are still in Google's Cahce...

If nothing shows up there is a good chance that you have been banned...

Unless your site is new. Then its not going to show up because they haven't visited your site.

If you don't want to get banned, don't do anything to get banned. Getting a site to produce results in search engines takes some time. If you are trying to find ways to make this happen quick, you are probably doing something that can get you banned, and probably will.

Any kind of software to do things automatically, like site submissions, etc. is a waste of time and can be viewed as spamming. Get a link from a few other sites at first and the spidders will find you. Using the url submit tools does only one thing. If you do it a lot, the search engines view you as a spammer. They will find your site naturally, Just get a couple of links from other sites (of course from sites that are not banned themselves.)

Build a great site that can be crawled easily. This means a simple navigation with out a lot of JavaScript etc.

Have a site that others want to link to. You do this by creating quaility content. This can be done in any industry...

As George Harrison apply put it:
It's gonna take time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, ummm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right child

2 things to check if your site is blacklisted/banned:

- do a site:domain check. If no results come up, you could be banned.
- check the google toolbar. If the PR bar is showing gray, then your site could be banned.

You can also use the tool below:

The tool http://www.selfseo.com/google_ban_tool.php cannot give ban-information if its a new site. Because when i checked my site with this tool, i got the two answers new and banned site. I do have backlinks for that site. Does that mean i'm new or is it banned. Any idea ?
