Hi Guys,

I have a question about my website.

Recently, I needed to embed php code inside html code. This did not work and I learned that I will need to rename my files to php instead of html. This way, everything will work as intended.

My problem is that I'm afraid to lose my page ranking if I changed my index page from:

www.domain.com/index.html to www.domain.com/index.php and changed my .htaccess file to forward index.html to index.php

Please let me know what you think of this. I'm thinking of dumping the whole idea unless it's 100% safe

BTW, I'm using globat.com as my webspace provided and they don't support

AddType application/x-httpd-php .phtml .php .php3 .html .php4

in .htaccess

As I said b4, I can't use that code inside .htaccess b/c Globat.com doesn't support it. So, I need to find another solution.
