hello,
i have four websites in google webmaster section where i analyze query stats and page rank..

my websites has following ranks

1 website has page rank 4
1 website has page rank 3
2 website has page rank 0

when i goto google this url https://www.google.com/webmasters/si...eUrl=xxxxxxxxx

i see bars under the The PageRank of your pages in Google in my page rank 4 website i see the low page rank bar is 97% full and PageRank not yet assigned is 4% filled

and in my one of 0 page rank site the low rank bar is 99% filled and PageRank not yet assigned is 1% fill..

its weird.. i dont know how it works.. in my page rank 3 website the low bar is 50% fill and PageRank not yet assigned is 60% filled..

can anyone tell me the background of these bars.. how they work?

I think its your homepage thats got the high PR with your sub pages having little or no PR at all. This (to me anyway) amswers the % queries you asked about.

It certainly is the case for me anyway.

not sure.. but that may be the cause.. i still confusion about bars.. i have seen the documentation but didn't find useful information

Ignore PageRank values, they tell you nothing of any importance.

Not really. I wrote programs 10 years ago that display information that at the time was important, but now is meaningless. I'm not saying that PR is meaningless, but just because a program displays certain information it doesn't make it useful, let alone important.

That is true. I agree with that it is not important. It may show minor importance but not much more than any other site that does not offer a bar simalar to Googles. I think alot of it has to do with the amount of visitors you have on your site and your outside links. Remember not everyone uses Google. It does sound like that maybe it is just your homepage with high rankings. It is normal for your other pages not to be ranked as high since more traffic lands on your homepage than anywhere else.

PageRank has absolutely NOTHING to do with visitor numbers and visitor numbers have absolutely NOTHING to do with PageRank.

True pagerank is just there to tell you of what google thinks your website worth.
