After a few months of waiting, a few surfers have found my site using a few keywords that happen to match the text in a few of my pages. I went through my stats to find the referers to see what keywords they use to get my site.

Now the question is: what do I know to exploit these keywords? Should I add them into description? meta-keywords? do nothing? advertise with these words? any idea or articles on this subject is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If they are search phrases that you want to rank well for you should start using them as your anchor text in backlinks.

You can also use them in the description of your page. That way more and more targeted traffic to those keywords will come.

What you're trying to learn here is called SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I think you should read some articles about this issue. It will give you a lot of hints .

Whoopydo what you're asking about is basic SEO. You find keywords you want to target (sometimes from your stats program) and optimize your page or site so it appears in search results for the keywords or related ones.

Spend a little time reading through the SEO forum here or at other forums or in countless blogs online.
