did you use seo process... SE's love links and fresh content...

Keith, IMO try to increase members for your forum and also allow anonymous users viewing your site, don’t force them to get register just for surfing your forum. This can irritate your visitor.

It will also stop SE crawlers getting to the forum. They can't register.
