for me, unique means your own made content. not just changing sentence from someone's work. and i always believe that having an original content is always the best, even not for SEO purposes, but the point that you can be proud of this something because it's your original work.

Donna I absolutely agree, but there are times where you may use someone else's content such as using an article they've submitted somewhere.

In those cases as long as you credit the orignal source it's fine to use their content, but it's also good to add some of your own content to the page.

I'm with you though that your own original content is always best.
