I have heard that article submition is very usefull thing. Any body has tried this tehnology? How does it work? Which results have you got?

Thats a very interesting question where there are 2 opinions

1. Dont write articles for links as you are likely to rank well if you have the content on your website.
2. Articles are good way to get some good trafffic and links.

I think you should find something where you dont go about any one point but something a balnace of both of them.

I write my own article and submit ist to article directories. Then I put my links on my article. Sometimes some traffic of my site came from my article. It can also increase your backlinks.

Articles are a good way to pick up links with good anchor text, make sure you set the resource or author box up with your links.

Submitting to most of the article directories will not bring too much traffic to you, instead it's just for backlink. Submitting to big article sites like wikipedia, digg, and those famous article directories will bring you good traffic and quality link.

You can get some traffic from article submission but to get maximum effects you can try listing your articles with sites who lists articles for free. Wiki is a good option also.

There are also a number of places you can distribute your articles to which have a wide coverage of article directories and ezine publishers. One such is in my signature.

timbre, article submission is one of those things that can work well for you, or it can work poorly for you. The submission has very little to do with the process in relative terms, however. This isn't to say it's unimportant...it has to be submitted SOMEWHERE. Just not to 5000 different sites, that's all.

The key to article submission is actually the quality of the article and how unique it is. You will receive more traffic to a well-written article about a unique subject than you will from a poorly written article and/or an article about a subject that has been covered to death.

Give people something they'll WANT to read, and they'll read it. The challenge is in finding something unique.

Once you do that, the submission is a no-brainer. Just make sure you do it manually, because many sites are starting to block/fight the automated services (it's counterproductive to their own efforts to some extent.) You can submit to a few article sites with a well-written article and end up with a better result than 500 article sites with a crappy site.
