I feel that my site has been around for a while and it seems that google doesn't even know it exists, I can't upload a sitemap to freewebs and I recently placed meta tags into the home page but I guess my major question is :

Q. If my site is created and hosted by freewebs.com will any search engines index it?

As far as I know they will. How long is awhile? And are you referring to one of the sites in your sig?

Do you mean Google hasn't indexed it, or it's in the index but doesn't rank for anything? If it's not in the index getting more backlinks would be a good idea (even if it is in the index, too).

Let's know what site you're talikng about, do you keep link-building and what's meant by a while. Some sites stay unindexed for a year, but it doesn't mean it'll happen to your site. Just be patient, dude.

I'm referring to this site http://www.freewebs.com/vinylsiding

I don't know if backlinks are that important for a site like this because the information and content is good and results for "vinylsiding" are only 99,000 so I'm not sure why I wouldn't come up in the search engines.....weird

your site are already 779 indexed pages...
