Does the "voting for page" options on the google bar have any affect on a website page.

Nope.

Another wasted option I guess then, It does seam to send out some information when pressed. Kind of curious what Google will do with the information they collect from it.

On the google Toolbar is a yellow smiley face and a blue grumpy face, on any page on the web you can click on one of these icons to either vote for or against a page. But most people seem to think this has no affect on a page with google. But I would still like to know what it is doing on the google bar.

I didn't saw this type of buttons on my GTB.

If "personalized search" is the next big thing, the data you see going out when you click the button is probably collecting info on what you like to help suggest more relevant sites in the future.

Voting by toolbar would be too easy to manipulate, so it probably doesn't have any weight on search rankings in general.

Personally, I'm of the belief that the toolbar voting is a slight red herring. As Forrest said, it may have some effect at some point on personalized search results (if you happy-faced a site before, you might see it rank higher on your personalized SERPs, and if you grumpy-faced a site before, it may rank lower). Other than that, I personally don't think it has much weight, if any at all.
