Hi,
I've noticed over the past couple of months, that people are finding my site through some pretty bizarre search queries. Some of them, I would hope to come up in the first several hundred pages of Google's results; others have words that don't show up anywhere on my site.
This month ( 1/3 over - stats are up to date as of yesterday ) two people have found my site by searching for Seattle Arboretum. So I tried the query, and got bored before I found my site. I do have a page devoted to a picture from here, though, and the words do show up on that page. I got one visit from the query "how can i find a prom dress in seatel" - this misspelling doesn't show up on my page, and I don't think the word prom does, either.
Last month four people found me by searching for "big sur california" - I would love to come up high enough in this query for that to be reasonable, but again, many sites come up hundreds of results above mine. Earlier four people found me by googling www! Two from ie7, which doesn't show up anywhere on my site.
Of course, I won't complain about viewers finding my site! But I'm curious how this is happening - nobody has the patience to go to Page 17 in the search results. Any thoughts? It probably doesn't matter, but this is the site I'm asking about :
