Hi!

I just started using google adwords. I have a few questions. I sell surf, snow, skate and wake videos. Most people search and find our site by video title. So for my google adwords keywords I have been putting in all the titles that we carry, does this make sence? Should I be doing this?

Then I have all my key words a phrases in "quotes" here is a example of one tile we have

"Campaign DVD"
"Campaign Surf DVD"
"Campaign Surf Video"
"Campaign Surfing DVD"
"Campaign Surfing Video"
"Campaign Video"
"Surfing DVD"
"Surfing Video"
"Surf DVD"
"Surf Video"

My question about this is do I need al those variations? I mean sence I have surfing DVD do I need to have campaign surfing DVD? because when I didnt and I did a search for campaing surfing DVD I did not come up? Now with all those I do.

Also I have all my keywords pointing to on adthat goes to the home page. I have one campaing seperated into 4 parts surf, snow, skate and wake. So how do I make a different ad for surf and direct them to the surfign page? Do I need to make a new campaign for each?

Alos I need to really bring in more traffic. Any ideas? maybe make a forum for people to chat at? To bring them back more often? I dont know.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Thank You

Jeff

About your idea for forums, they are only really a good idea if you can get them really popular, otherwise it will look empty and thats not good for the sites image.

Hears the deal with Adwords. Your position is not only based on how much you pay per click, but also how well the ad is optimized. You can optimize your ad by including your the keywords that trigger that specific ad in the title and text of the ad. Your ad will also gain more optimization as it becomes more popular (i.e. more people click thru it.)

You should make separate ad groups for each keyword and include that specific keyword in the ad title and text. This way the ad is further optimized and you can point an ad trigger by "Surf Videos" to your surf page and so forth. Keep in mind that Adwords are cAsE senSiTive, so "Surf DVDs" and "surf DVDs" are different. Normally lower case keywords get more traffic.

Make sure you bid high enough to be in the top 5 positions or else your ad will never be popular. Once your ad becomes popular you can actually lower your maximum bid and retain your position.

Google tries to space your ad out in accordance with how much you are paying per day, so that your budget lasts all month. This is probably why you did not see your ad. Google simply isn't showing it full time.

As far as traffic goes, check out 1stsearchengineranking.com they have a pay per click package that could take place of your Adwords Campain. You get 10,000 click thrus for only $500 dollars(only.05 per click), and you would be advertising on all of the major search engines, not just Google. Also, you are not charged when the same person clicks thru to your site the second time. You might want to add a link to bookmark your site somewhere noticeable as well.

freak, Thank You so much for the info. I already have 4 different ad campaigns, 1 for each sports. Like all my surfing keywords point to the surfing pages etc.

Also what do you think of all my keywords being prahses in quotes? Is that as good idea?

also do you think I should get rid of the caps. or add the same keywords in lower case letters as well?

Thank You again for you help.

Thank You

Jeff
