After one year (daily 2 hour) work, my website gets good traffic from Google search engine. My website gets average 700 unique visitors per day last three month (September, October, and November). But it reduced to average 200 per day on December month. Traffic from Google search engine also reduced to average 50 per day. I am faille to find out exact reason. I am link exchange with lots of website on that time. I will stop the participating forum this three month. Anyone solve my problem.

i have the same problem but i think the reason is pr update . when pr update finish , google will be normal google

if it is your article directory that you are referring to - I gotta say - thats wierd - because my traffic from google has been going up. Although it does fluxuate on a daily basis.

As I already said, somewhere in the holiday season, google has done a data refresh which sent some of the sites too low on ranking and gave hike to some of the sites ranking.

This also means that the results can contain quite dated information. This further reinforces the need to update and be SEO conscious of all your pages.

ya, its might be the goolge reindexing and pr on jan 2007.

what site you running? i bit interested to check more

You shall check whether this 500 vistors lose are all from google or not. Looks like you lose some important links, and thus both cause your lose of traffic from that link and google ranking.

Learn to analized, check the time when your site is on top, then find out what are the reasons why your stats goes down.

I had the same experience. My site jumped from position 20 to 200+ and back vor many times and ofcourse it decreased my google traffic too. now is all more settled and the traffic is coming back.

Do you update your site often? Or probably those months you've mentioned were the site content's "peak" season. I don't know, I am just guessing.

Yes, it can grab big traffic if you keep on updating.

Google PR refresh may have affected the pages on which your links were published. have you checked your search engine positions for your keywords? Do you have a lot of traffics from forums also, in that case your absense may have contributed to the loss of traffic.

You may try to have some permanent links on good PR pages. However, always keep on updating your content with keyword enriched text.

Did your rankings stay the same for the mentioned months? This is one important info you failed to provide us

You should remove link exchange program from your website . It will surely help you regain rankings Along with that you can work on building effective back links towards your website.

Google ban for using link exchange.
