My client, a lawyer, wants to know how his old law firm, which he is no longer associated with in any way, manages to get high rankings when you Google his name. I can't find any use of his name in their HTML code on the front page, and site search of his name in their site search box turns up nothing much.
Any ideas as to how they could get this continual mileage from his name, even though he left the firm several years ago? My client's website is martingarbus.com
And old law firm is Davis & Gilbert
www.dglaw.com/biographies/mGarbus_bio.html this url is #1 for the KW Martin Garbus simply because it has more inbound links (about 20) that www.martingarbus.com (about 9). And Anchor text are martin garbus for both urls. This is called google bombing (ofcourse short of bombing). Get more inlinks in martin garbus as anchor text and you can beat old firm easily.
