Hi

what is google criteria for old domain ?

think that there are two domain ;

* one of them registered in 1998 but it has not been indexed by google . it has never been used .

* one of them is registered in 2000 and it has been indexed by google .

which domain is older by google eyes ?

does google checks the whois information while it's checking the age of domain ?

Thanks

I think the domain from 2000 will be seen as older by google and
it will have a better value for you. Waiting for more opinions...

I think, it balances out in this case. The effect will be too tiny, unless of course, the 2000 domain has some backlinks also.

Nobody but nobody outside of Google has access to such specific information.

Agree, you should not count too much on the domain age here, I actually recommend you to choose the one that has been indexed already, thouhg it seems to be younger.

Hello
Old domains. There are some differents. Old domains in general and old domain names by google. Old doomains in general - domains which registered many years ago. Old domains by google - domains indexed many years ago. As far as I know google likes domains indexed many years ago.

until a site has been indexed by Google it doesn't exist in their database.

It does NOT make one bit of difference when it was registered or if it was aliased to another hostname. That specific name has to have links to it.

There is also the possibility that Google can "set the clock back" on hostnames that change ownership. They have the capability and the technology to do this, whether it happens as a matter of course is of course up to them and quite possibly what use the re-registered hostname is put to. If it looks like it is used as an attempt to subvert the algo (in this case the "aging delay") expect it to happen.

If put some content in the 1998 domain and indexed by google, I think google will see this as the older one.
