How can I tell if a site has been blacklisted from Google? If anyone knows please help a brother out.

Have you tried doing a site: search or their webmaster tools? Are you in their index?

If a site is banned from google it will not appear anywhere in the google index and the PR bar on the google toolbar will be grey (probably the only thing toolbar pr is good for).

You can't get banned until you've been spidered (note the use of the word 'spidered', not indexed) ... you'll know if you've been spidered or not by looking at your logs. Google has Webmaster guidelines - follow them. If you breach the guidelines and get banned, correct the problem and file a reinclusion request.

Yahoo and MSN/Live aren't as fickle as Google, so as long as you've got some good links and content.

The SEs are under no obligation to index your site or to provide reasons for or against inclusion - they are there for the sole reason of making profits and if your site is not worthy then it will not be included, or kicked out.

If you rely on SEs to bring you traffic then they are, in a way, a customer of yours and it's a good idea to keep them happy.

Thanks for the help and information. I have never had one banned but I recently meet a man who site was. But that doesn't mean he'll be blacklisted from the rest of the SE's will it?

you can search site:www.domain.com to check your site . if there is no result , you are in blacklist

if there is no result , you are in blacklist

If a particular site has been blacklisted by Google then it won't appear in the search results for any of your keywords.

Okay, I'll get right on that after you convince me gravity really exists.

If you don't feel like waiting, though, you can convince yourself. Just take the leap of faith. Link to a bunch of spam and porn sites.

Or for a less dangerous way to verify the truth, read what Google has to say on the matter. Read Matt Cutts' blog responding to web masters who complain about being blacklisted.
