Hi guys, this is my first post here. I'm Stu from Leeds,UK and i'm a sales manager for a web design agency.

I recently bit the bullet and learned css myself, to create my own website. I have a website audio company i run part time and wanted to really begin to promote it.

so here's the thing, i have studied many forums and consulted my colleagues regarding SEO and i am beginning to optimise my site myself. The site is 99%complete, just a few details need updating, phone number etc...

The site has only been live a week and Google has just picked it up, no deep crawl as yet of course. I thought it may be cool for me to diarise on a regular basis, my efforts on seo and the subsequent happenings on the search engines?

It could be a good model for many others out there, that are starting that long climb up mount Google.

What do you guys think?

Yep make it a blog, it's always useful to track everything, don't forget to document your logs as well.

Go for it. One of the problems with SEO is that there are very few people with a unique take on things. As a newcomer, you provide that.

If you want to see a similar concept to yours (newcomer/"Weenie Blogger" with an SEO blog), check out SEO Buzzbox. The site is owned by a guy named Aaron Pratt who runs a site selling rain barrels. He uses the SEO blog to educate others and himself and as somewhat of an SEO playground.
