The good thing about Blogger is the bad thing about Blogger. It's free and easy. That makes it a great target for spammers. Just like Wikipedia - you don't even need an account to strut your stuff. So of course there'll be some.
I left a comment on the blog, and it's one of the things that if I can see it, as a n00b, the people promoting the research can't have missed it. Microsoft exists for one reason only: to make money. Does anyone think they would spend any of theirs to promote good things about a competitor? Microsoft saying a Google product is spammy is like a New York Times headline saying "Dog Barks at Mailman."
That doesn't make it untrue, just un-news. But it brings up all kinds of questions about how they came to he 74 % number. I'm actually pretty curious now. There are a lot of spam blogs, so I don't think it's wildly off base, although I hope it is. Because when you add in the ones that aren't spam, but are just really bad, well, it's a bleak picture.
