Backlinks question please

When I submit tutorials to a tutorials site, they link to my page in this form:
http://www.tutorialssite.com/tutorial/2631.php
using php script, and when users click on this link they go to my actual page which is for example:
http://www.mysite.com/ActualPage.html
Does this still count as a backlink to my site? and will these kind of links help me get better PR?

It is considered as backlink, as long as other site contain link pointing to your site.

If the end result is the user getting to a specific link
and you want that page to be the one that Google sees as backlinked,

why not have an incoming link to that exact page?

what is your need for the php in process of getting backlink and earning rank?

I do not do that, it is the site that have my link who do that for a reason that I do not know (many of the tutorials directories do that maybe they have something more in the php file like counter or something)

It will be treated as back link once the search engines crawl and reach your page through that link.

You are all wrong !!

Why ????

because it will depend on how the redirect from the sites tracking page is done.

anything other than a HTTP 301 Response (Moved Permanently) will result in the link NOT being seen as a backlink to the target site.

@AHelpingHand
Have you checked the HTTP response from the site ?

I don't know how to check that. Here is an example of what I am talking about: http://fstutorials.com/
Go to this site and try any of the tutorials links to see what I mean.

download WebBug and check the response. Make sure you use the HTTP 1.1 option.

AND It's a 302 redirect, so will NOT be passing any link value to the target site(s)

Too bad I think I better forget about the whole PR thing and concentrate on traffic. I was only thinking about PR because I get very few traffic from SE .
