Has anyone heard anything about Google starting to offer domains and hosting? I heard their domains will be through GoDaddy and they will offer their on hosting packages.

If they were offering domain registrations through GoDaddy as a reseller, that would be a rather strange move since they are listed as an ICANN-accredited registrar.
Personally, I'm of the belief that they'll offer some sort of newbie-pack within the year: domain + hosting + Google indexing for $19.95 a month or something like that.
I didn't know they were ICANN accredited, I figured they must be or are in the process. I wonder how much longer until this planet changes from Earth to Google.

Google providing the hosting is a hype I have been hearing for quite some time and I don't see any reason for them to be doing this. Now the question comes is they can provide ads on the domains but for that they have adsense and don't need to be taking the pain for hosting the domains + hosting.

Thought for today:- Is SEO the only industry where all the cowboys are Indians?
Google hosting, Google search, Google mail, Google Blogs
Bloody hell
I know the old argument is that nobody is forcing you to use Google's services, and that the beauty of a free market is consumer choice with no overriding authoratative controls...but still...

Google is really becoming like a jack of all trades when it comes to internet services. Them entering the hosting business would be awesome. They are a great company, and I'd definitely try them out just because of their name, and the quality that comes with their name.
LMAO. Kind of reminds me of Austin Powers where the space needle had a big bold "Starbucks" written across it. The next big thing is that Google will buy China and rename the great wall to the great wall of Google.
