I own two sites,

www.ferion.com which is a PR5 site with tons of traffic

secondly i own www.website-promotion-guide.com which is a hobby project. alot of people keep asking me these questions all the time about website promotion, so i made a site about it.

Anyhow, I've linked from my PR5 site to the new site, and probably it will get a higher PR from that. But what will that do to my traffic there?

What are the effects of having a higher PR on your traffic, anyone know an article about that?

Yup, a higher PR will cause the site to be ranked higher on Google's search results. This might mean more traffic to your site for the keywords that Google has associated with your site. I suppose those words will be "website", "promotion" and "guide" since you have them nicely spaced out in your domain.

if we both had identical sites, same content, title, meta tags, layout etc... only the domain names were differant - and my site had a PR5 and yours had a PR1, mine would show up higher up in the search results then yours

This is by far the best article I have ever seen on PR.
