Beside code cleanness, this is the point.

just interact in places like forums, use your signature on the forums and place your websites link in there, release some articles on subjects related to your website, and place links at the bottom, just try and get your link on as many targeted websites as possible. DO NOT use automated link exchange and search submission tools.
