I am currently working on www.bgod.net and I was 4th for the serach out of 24,000,000 for Content Creation Forum. And now I have moved up to 2nd. Only bested by Digital Point so far. I am also moving up on Webmaster Community and am number one on webmaster related contest and webmaster contest.

only a few weeeks to go before you start trying to delete all this crap.

"Content Creation Forum" right Big WOW 641 pages for that phrase.
"webmaster contest" nowhere out of 4300
"webmaster related contest" nowhere out of 2

You don't really understand this search engine stuff at all do you.
especially the personalised search bit that shows results that are filtered for you

I'm sure we are all really impressed by your skills and prowess in getting a new site to "rank" for such "competetive" phrases.

You seem not to be but there are 24,000,000 categories for Content Creation Forum . And I have only been working my way up. I don't see why you say my webpage is going to fall when quality content/members are joining every single day I earn a good amount of adsense money as well. And to the best of my knowledge I have not been doing "personalized searches" I know my seo is good Just look up Saw 4 Trailer , and my webpage www.saw4trailer.com will come up 4th as well. Maybe you can explain your position a little better, and stop giving me the smoke and mirrors ruten.

No there isn't!
There is 24m pages reported for any combination of "content" OR "creation" OR "forum". Put the phrase in quotes to find the real number of pages

It simply is perfectly normal for any new site (as all yours are) to rank highly for many phrases. It is absolutely NOTHING to do with your self perceived brilliant SEO.

Do you have a Google account, such as Gmail, Adwords, Adsense, Analytics and the few other things that you have to log into?
If yes to any one, there is every chance you have been running personalised searches.

I am a part of Adsense of course as stated above . I have been getting traffic from somewhere then...Quite frequently as well as new members I guess we will just chalk that up to the headless horseman?

Also I have had many other people do this serach and it has been comming up with the same results.

When you serach Content Creation Forum without the " " you are not seeing me in 2nd place? Or is this not the actual case because most people when they type in something don't use the "" even though that does narrow down certain seraches.

There really isn't a reason to use quotes for the most part...about the only people that do in 95% of cases are SEOs trying to get a read on their competition.

And Chris...you made your annual error. The search term would be content AND creation AND forum, not content OR creation OR forum (unless OR was explicitly stated.) Don't worry though...you had a foul to give, like in basketball. No link exchange forum time for you.

Vasity: you're making gains in nothing, and any new members you get are pretty well accidental at this point.

Well, I don't think that site deserves to be on top of the engines even if he's telling the truth. Get that site some newer and simpler design and cut out the spam from it. And, whats "lmao" ??

Varsity, I'm not going to check the searches to see whether you really come up or not, honestly the reputation of the people commenting in this thread tells me everything I need to know.

But I notice you seem really antagonistic. I really can't imagine why; since I joined this forum I realized the people you're laughing at are very intelligent and eager to help people. They've won my respect in general, which is a lot more important than who's right about what stats.

You can learn a lot here. Or you can make a hundred posts that don't really seem to help anybody ... but get you some links. But don't expect much else if you're going to be rude to people who are here to help others.

I agree with what you are saying, I am not trying to be a "bothersome member" here, but frankly a person on this site Adam, who is also respected from what I have heard made a full on web blog post about my webmaster forum lol...I found it amusing I advertise in many type's of ways.. But when these people are just straight lying am I just suppose to agree. When anyone in their right mind could search Google themselves. Then see I am not lying.

True
Though it is more complex than basic "AND" & "OR"

something like a REGEX of;
Code:
 (("content creation forum")|("content creation"|forum)|(content|"creation forum")|(content|creation|forum))
Plus a few ^ * ? operators thrown in for good measure

Don't try that at home kids

The point is nobody is saying you are lying, What we are telling you is that "willy-waving" your rankings is a useless exercise. Simply because somebody somewhere else will be seeing something totally different. And of course as soon as the "aging delay" kicks in, it will all be gone, apart from a few very limited phrases.

You also don't appear to know how to measure how competitive (in the SERPs) a word or phrase is. The number of results returned is no indicator of this at all it's merely a (inaccurate) count of the "accidental cometitors"
Have a read at Measuring Keyword Competition for a start

So I was lying about the spam attempt?

For those of you wondering about the "full on blog post", it's here (Forrest, if you want an idea of what this guy's all about, check the crap he keeps spreading there.)

Vasity, you just don't get it. Period. You have no clue what you're talking about, you probably never will, and you're just another in a long line of people who will eventually either keep trying to run forward in a hamster wheel or give up because you don't make millions overnight.

As far as why I made the post in the first place, it's because you "advertised" by sending me a PM that I did not ask for. This is called spamming. Say it with me now...go ahead, you can do it...spamming. I wanted to use your post as a cautionary example, so that others may learn how to detect misleading spam and be able to deal with it accordingly.

You're actually helping me illustrate that point by continuing to post meaningless drivel that no one cares about in an attempt to back up whatever point you're trying to make, while completely missing the greater point that it is a breach of forum etiquette to contact others about your site when they did not ask to be contacted, and therefore considered spam.

You're doing it on my blog (although I'm letting you because I find it high comedy at its finest and haven't yet gotten bored with you) and you're doing it here. Either smarten up or shut up for your own sake.

That's true, but it's also much more simple to say any combination of the three words content AND creation AND forum. Simplify, man. Simplify.
