Where does this PR show up before the toolbar update? It still doesn't show in my dash board (google webmaster tools) and I would think that would be where it would show first.
I am still learning all of this and have only had my sites since around the middle of December. I read a lot of this stuff and you find so much contradictory stuff, so it gets kind of confusing.

In that case the best thing you could do is to stop reading NOW about PR, PR updates (which aren't really "updates"), PR values and anything else to do with stupid green bar, before you get obsessed by it and start chasing a pointless goal and forget about the more important things in the process.

Yah, mine got updated. It's at 4 now. I'm wroking hard and hope I'll get 5 in September. That'll be awesome.

If you hang around here long enough and actually read some of the prior posts you start getting a clear idea just how little PR has to do with anything. I've been fortunate over the past few years to learn enough to be fairly successful at SEO - but since I've been hanging out with the looneys (oops - experts) at WMT I've added some serious traffic building tools to my arsenal and these are already paying off.

It always comes back to the basics - if it was easy everyone would do it...serious traffic takes serious effort
