Just wondering what the difference between the two pages that Google displays as your links, for example:

When I do a link:www.toptenlisted.com search, it only displays a few links, but when I look at the “external links” page through Google Webmaster Central, it displays over 70 links.

I was just wondering what the difference between the two are, and if the link:www.toptenlisted.com search has anything like increased weight, relevance, etc. towards my ranking

The link operator never has, and probably never will, Show all of your backlinks. It just displays a random selection.

Even in Webmaster Central, they won't show you all the links they know about.

So why have both pages then?

Just curious as to how many I actually have.

google does't display what really is the count of your backlinks.... It just display a minimum links that linked to you... you can use this link..

www.backlinkwatch.com
