Hi all,

I need to remove two of my domains and all subdomains for a certain project out of google (and the other searches) all together.

Does google still listen to robots.txt for this? Will this appraoch work on other engines do you know?

Any assistance be apperciated.
Regards,
Sir P

To remove your site from Google only and prevent just Googlebot from crawling your site in the future, place the following robots.txt file in your server root:

The robots.txt approach will work on all bots that respect it. This includes Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

Yeah, the bots that don't respect robots.txt are usually run by smaller companies who aren't tied to the enormous potential for negative PR. That's public relations, not page rank ... the PR that matters.
