Google SEO
Hi Everyone My name is Rod and I am an independent SEO Consultant based in London. my speciality is Google organic search.
I would like you to note my latest achievement. Brand new domain (only 9 days old today) entered Google search results after 4 days only, currently at #8 from 760 Million served up results. All My Own had over 30,000 hits in the first 24rs it was up.
I posted up the screenshots to prove it here:
http://www.seogoogle.biz/case-study/seo-case-study.htm
oh and it has already been sandboxed and reappeared after 24 hrs. no black hat tricks, no paid for links, nothing at all thats not considered completely ethical and within the rules.
how did i do it
ask
and you shall be told

You do realise that "all my own" is not a competitive search term....?
The "760 Million served up results" have no bearing on your big achievement seeing as those pages can contain "all" or "my" or "own", and not the exact phrase.
As you are an "independent SEO Consultant" I can only conclude that you already know this and are presenting this irrelevant information in an attempt to mislead people into thinking this really was a big achievement and not something that anyone can achieve in a couple of hours.

the point i wish labour over is the time in which it took to get indexed and show up in the SERPS. the search term and numbers are not important.
I can show many top 5 examples and specific to the phrase.
please show me an example of a brand new domain showing in just 4 days if its o easy you could do it in 2 hours why pay Google for Adwords

If the point you wish to labour over is the length of time it took to get indexed and ranking, you don't need to tell us how many pages are served up in a "loose match" query. Why would you present these numbers, other than to (incorrectly) demonstrate how competitive those search terms were?
It's quite common for pages on a new domain to get indexed this quickly and rank for uncompetitive terms. I've experienced this myself because I don't tend to target competitive terms either.

it is not new pages, its a new DOMAIN registered 21 May 2007. if its so common why do other seo's tell people 3 - 6 months to get in to Google when actually you can do it in days.

That's what I said. Pages on a new domain.

If they know anything they don't; they say you probably won't rank for competitive search terms for a while. The term you are targeting is not competitive.

Rod, your logic is the same logic most SEOs use...and like most logic most SEOs use, it's deeply flawed.
As others have pointed out to you, "All My Own" is not a competitive phrase, approximate number of results aside (since the count is never correct anyway...they really should just do away with the thing, since most average users couldn't care less anyhow). No one is targeting it, and in all likelihood, no one is searching for it. So that's flaw number 1.
Flaw number 2 is that your ranking won't be the same across all datacenters, or even across all machines in the same datacenter. So telling us that you're #8 on a datacenter is meaningless. There are datacenters that can fluctuate a listing by 30 positions or more.
Flaw number 3 is assuming that ranking is the final step. It's not. People finding you under the phrases for which you rank is the final step. And I highly doubt that anyone is searching for "All My Own" in Google...if they are, it's certainly not in any significant numbers.
Flaw number 4 is in assuming that a sandbox of any variety exists, and that the normal factors of competition and business growth haven't been factored into the Google algorithm.
gringo is dead right: you haven't really accomplished anything, and if you have, you'd find a better way to tell us about it.

seogoogle - big wow, I put a new domain up and ranked 2 under a single keyword that i wasn't even targeting within a few days, i only knew about it from the server logs, since then I seemed to have dropped out of google all together for that keyword, even though the page indexed hadn't changed, and did i care - no - because it was an obscure keyword, my point is, this can happen to any new page or domain, keeping it there over the months is the challenge and as the others point out, doing it for keywords or keyphrases that get more than 5 searches a day

Ignorance is my guess. Probably a lot of people who have a web site calling themselves SEOs.
A friend of mine keeps telling me how he ranks #1 in Google when he searches for his name. His domain is his name with a .com on the end. The guy is really proud, though. That took all of a week.
I rank #834, or so says Google Webmaster Tools, for the word gay. There's a waterfall I photographed in Connecticut, in a place called "Gay City State Park." I'm as shocked as anyone else that someone actually went to page 80 and clicked my landscape photo! Every month, I come up for "Star of Zion" which has nothing to do with religion, ethnicity, or nationality; again, there's a national park in Utah called Zion Canyon. None of these are an accomplishment on my part ( well, the star trails photo in Zion is, as a photo, but not as a ranking. ) I get one or two searches for "Star of Zion" a month. Very strange.
