Google is not counting back links form the pages like link.html, links.html. I have seen the backward link of my one web site and i have found that google is not showing the backward link to my web site from PR 5 page named as link4.html. Link4.html has PR5.

I help run a site that has a links page called other-sites.html

The PR for that page is a PR0.

I guess google's been working out how to get PR working again...

In fact many webmasters an lonk exchange sites requirest that the backlings will not be posted on link or links named page.

resources.asp

I have expericed the google "links" problem and it seems to stem for pages whose filename is "links.*" that a text link with the anchor text "links" in it.

So it does exist but I don't think its just based on the file alone

althought to be safe i stop using "links" text in any of my filenames and in linktext pointing at my linkspages

I don't wan't to argue. I am merley spreading knowledge that I have gained through work and personal projects. If you disagree, fine. In the long term we will see who is really right.

I Imagine if you check the backlinks of a few popular sites you will find lots of proof your self
