Hi DrMove,
You may want to think about a redesign of www.drmove.com before having SEO done on the site. Nothing personal of course, but it could use a lot of design work. lookformovers.com isnt so bad though
Anyway, in regards to finding a SEO.
1. Shop around. There are tons out there and many don't really know what they are doing and some can get you sites banned.
2. Make sure you get a FULL outline of all costs involved and EXACTLY what they will be doing for that cost (how many pages will they optimize and for how many keywords).
Another place to look is at www.sempo.org
They have a request seo services form: http://www.sempo.org/sempo-request-services.php

I own a full service seo firm. We are actually the featured "SEO site" of the month! at one of the top design and development directories on the net (and we didn't pay to get there).
http://www.designfirms.org/ (towards the bottom of the page under "Featured Firms of the Month")
Just send me a private message letting me know that you're interested, and I'll put together a proposal, cost analysis, and ROI estimate (return on investment).

When shopping around, it might also help to get specific examples of some of the top search engine rankings that the firm has achieved and maintains. One deceptive trick to watch out for is when SEO firms give you examples of their top rankings but they are for obscure keyword phrases instead of competitive general ones. It's a lot easier to optimize a site for the phrase "bang bang chitty chitty bang bang" than for "Movers."

There is nothing complicated about SEO, its just a matter of putting in the time it takes to get your site linked on other relavent web sites.
Pick a few keywords that you think people would use to find your site, then work them into the content.
There are many good books about SEO and how to do it, as well as a billion web sites that can help you out. There is a site I think its called seo-news- they have a daily newsletter that is really good.

don't hire someone, the result are temporarly.
Google has started to make SEO-ing almost impossible. the best thing to do is to work hard on your site, and give your visitors quality content. You will grow automaticly, in visitors and in the rankings.

It might be almost impossible but it is not completely impossible.
Are you trying to say that if someone just uploads pages to his server and he will rank high for those pages? I am sure you know that you will have to have to set right your title, meta tags, H1 H2, Alt Tags, Incoming Links, body text. etc etc etc.
In other words. I am sure a normal designer would not know how to write SE friendly pages, and he has to consult a professional SEO.

 ,
I know those things, i've even made a website about it. but that beside the point.
Those things are so easy to do that i just assumed that every webmaster does these things. However, the seo you get after the normal stuff that people do is what i talked about.

The reason for getting a professional SEO

Most professional SEO's earn their money because they have access to very high quality "one way" backlinks, and they are able to acquire these backlinks on sites with relevant content.
Knowing how to properly develop meta tags, anchor text, content, keyphrases, etc. is just the beginning. The true SEO professional is a business man that knows how to acquire valuable resources for their client's site.

True. To even think about being in SEO and being any good at it you need acess to a site network with decent PR.

SEO for 14 years old - just pick up some keywords. But his approach will not give you to the top ten slots for a competetive keywords. And yes, it is possible to get there, notwistanding the Google effort to prevent it.
I would suggest Googling for SEO and picking from the first ten results pages.
