Yeah!! do a research on Search Engine Optimization also.
A google PR of 10/10 is very difficult (yet not impossible) you can start off with getting links from high PR sites (read google's PR technology).
I think a PR of 5 or 6 is also OK if you are not targetting highly competive keywords.
What kind of kwywords are you looking forward to achieve hign rankings for?

ha-ha-ha... 10/10 heh? Oh, man, am I bursting out...
Not just at you, benevolent001, but at the people who replied as well. Seems like the SEOs wannabies want to take your money.

Just think about it, Yahoo itself has PR9, and you, and the "peers" here want to make your SUBPAGE of Yahoo PR10?

what are you all crazy?

Don't even bother with somebody who will tell you they will make your website have PR10. I optimze web sites for living, and I can tell you that all my #1 websites compete in multi-million results keywords and none of them has a PR greater than 5. And they ARE #1 returned result.

If it was that easy, wouldn't Yahoo, with their millions of dollars for marketing, get the PR10?
think...think...think about it...

Yeah that's funny stuff. Don't even worry about PR...as a matter of fact forget about PR. Just concentrate on getting IBL's to your site. PR will come. Just focus on IBL's.

IBL = Inbound Link. It's a link on another site that points to your site.

Get more IBLs' and Yahoo will eventually find you.

Hope that helps.

Pfuh, don't bet on that. And just forget about Yahoo, it's hit-or-miss, and there is no otimization for it.
I am #3 on Overture and MSN, but not in the first 1,000 on Yahoo for that keyword (and I have no penalty, I am ranking on other keywords) and at the same time I have 13,700 inbound links on Yahoo, at least 2/3 of them with that keyword, and the top result for that keyword has 1,650 IBLs.

Just optimize for Google, and keep your fingers crossed for Yahoo.

Every site I manage is indexed in Yahoo by following what I said - get links and you will ge found.

You are correct though, just optimize for Google and the rest will fall into place. Ignoring Yahoo is a mistake though, as Yahoo can bring as much if not more traffic for some sites. Ignoring it is ignoring potential traffic.

Oh, no doubt that you will be indexed, but optimizing for top position on yahoo is impossible - it's all up to the "mood" of the Yahoo!Slurp. And the truth told - I would rather be #1 on Yahoo than on Google.

Why's that? every site I own that is both Yahoo and Google gets more traffic from Google - a lot more on most sites.

Very untrue statement. I get my clients excellent rankings on Yahoo. As a matter of fact Yahoo is very easy to rank for. Check out my article on getting Better Yahoo Rankings .
