Well if more content is bringing you more visitors, you should definitely stick with a winner. I'm noticing the same thing; for every photo I add to my site, I get a few hundred visitors to see it, and it starts pulling in Google traffic. So don't give up a strategy that you can see working.
But if you feel you need more people to see your site, that means you need to augment your plan of attack. Which can mean cutting back a bit on the translation ... you probably don't need to do 10,000 songs a month!
Adding text about the cultural significance of the songs you translate will help you with the seo angle. And probably make some of your pages more popular. Do you have any idea how many teens have heard la bamba but don't know a thing about it?
Also, ignore the "social media" craze, but you need to be social about the way you "promote" your site. Become a member of whatever communities want to learn Spanish. Give people advice outside the context of your site, gain respect, and links and word of mouth referrals will follow.
It's a slow process, but it's a sustainable one.
