My site is http://www.technologyforever.com I want to get a page rank 4 or 5 what do I need to do to my site can you give me examples

Get links, blah blah blah, but what you really need is links from as many domains as possible. I have, I don't know, around a thousand posts here with signature links ... that really doesn't do any better than one link from this domain. But I get traffic occasionally when I post something that intrigues somebody, or solves their problem.

Get links from very high quality sites, and links that you're not able to get yourself. Don't bother with exchanges; you need to earn them on merit. For completely different reasons, I'm trying to get published in the print and online versions of some local papers. This type of link would be ideal for either of us.

Finally, the best way you can achieve a higher page rank than you have now is to forget the stupid concept. It doesn't have any benefit, and distracts you from things that are actually important.

Absolutely agree, especially with the last paragraph.

Forget about chasing toolbar PR, think about users and you will find that PR will catch up with you.

With regards to PR, I don't regard PR. It's amazing how many people rely so heavily on it. I often tell people to just create a great website, with quality content, and the rest will come naturally. As far as I'm concerned, I will place a backlink within my site regardless of the site's PR, as long as it has information I think my visitors will find interest in.

What are you hoping PR 4 or 5 will do for you?

Increasing your page rank won't do that. Only by providing quality content and networking can you increase traffic. Marketting helps as well.

What Jamie said. There are 100 to 300 factors that determine where you come up in the results, and PageRank is a tie breaker when all of the more important onces come out exactly the same.

Further, even if PR did change where you land when someone types a Google, which it doesn't, there are plenty of other and sometimes better source of traffic than Google.

My personal suggestion would be to write articles related to your website and submit them to reprint directories. It will take a bit of time, but you should see your back links slowly increase as other websites reprint your article.

Or you could try purchasing links, though I find this gets a bit costly.

I'm guessing that you are not a native english speaker. It doesn't matter. If you want to increase visitor satisfaction, I recommend that you break this mammoth sentence into several pieces:

"If you like to express your thoughts share and your ideas hear about others ideas then the TechnologyForever.com community Forum is the place for you if you like video games then it shouldn't be hard for you to know the game section is the place for you, and if you like the any of the topics on the right side of the page then my blog is the place for you I plan on adding more sections to the site in the near future."

It was found gasping for breath on your homepage.

Imagine you are saying that paragraph to somebody. You would naturally place pauses in your speach. Where those pauses are, try putting full stops (periods) and see how that reads.

If you want a good PR for your site you must focus on getting links from relevant older domains, higher PR sites, authority websites....you must go for directory and article submission which is the best way to gain most valued one way links....just few no of quality one way backlinks can boost your page rank in next PR updation.

Try to get links with anchor text containing your targetting keywords pointing to your site that may also help you in getting higher ranking....

Yes i do agree with some of the posts that forget running behing PR...
If u r not convinced then the best way to get high PR is you get back links form sites having PR 5 or 6
