Any reason to allow it, you think? I've been getting hits identifying themselves as facebookexternalhit/1.0 (+http://www.facebook.com/externalhit_uatext.php), and what little there is on the web suggests no.

Any thoughts?

What's the bot IP? And I'd suggest asking Lord Master of All Things Bot. Bill will show us all the light, as he has done many times in the past...and he's one funny bastard to boot.

It does the same as the vBulletin vBSeo module can do.

Instead of using the URL to create the anchor text it can go and get the text from the target page title.
Seeing it on your site means that Facebook users are placing links to your pages.

It's really going to be a judgement call on blocking it or not. Depends if you want the links on facebook to use your titles or not.
