The Other Search Engines

I am in the process of writing articles with instructions on the methods and processes of Search Engine Optimisation for the new launch of my site.

At present I have the following headings for Optimisation :

Title Tags
Headings
Meta-Tags (Keywords, Description, Meta)
Alt Image Tags
Keyword Usage within a page
Blacklistings
Frames
Link Exchanges
Gateway Pages

Are there any other key areas of Optimisation that I've missed out?

Does anyone have any key areas concerning any of these topics that it is ESSENTIAL that I consider in my articles?

Are there any other things that I should consider?

not that i can think of - im assuming when you say blacklisting you mean getting banned - ie. being on toplists etc

blacklistings, ie, what not to do. how to avoid blacklistings with things like "css trick" etc.

things like
*text NOT the same colour as background
*non-repetitive keyword use, make sure you change the order and / or content of the text your using it in
*original content, don't duplicate

this sort of thing, and ways to avoid detection / beat the bots

There is the entire field of cloaking. That can take an entire article in itself. There are those on both sides of the issue.

This can cause you all kinds of problems depending how you cover this subject.

blacklistings and avoiding blacklistings will most probably be seperate articles, or the same article with seperate parts.

this should hopefully solve the problem, thus allowing people to know what to do and what to avoid doing.

i've already started writing the articles, any points posted that are useful will be included. the articles will not be available for public viewing until the launch of the new version of www.phoenixd.com - due sometime...in the future!?
