Hello... I have a question..and hopefully after reading all the many educational posts here..maybe I can learn something from someone's answer.
Lets say you have a site... onestopkeywords. You have also registered onestopkeyword. This being done because the singular and plural are used interchangeably, and to avoid the confusion if someone happened to come along and registered onestopkeyword. Onestopkeywords is the title of the site, and the brandname so to speak that will be promoted. Is it a bad thing to have both domain names point to the same site? Would you submit both of them to the engines, or just one?
Taking it a step further is there any advantage to using numeric 1 instead of the word one in the domain, or title? Or would that be a no-no? Could it also point to the same site without issue?
I'm not trying to spam the engines, or have it think its multiple sites or anything like that... I am trying just to figure out the best way to present it, that will help to make it easy to get to, and search engine friendly not a search engine disaster.
Also do I have to worry about doing anything with hyphens? Seems some mixed thoughts on that issue.
Thanks,
Alicia
