The Other Search Engines

Hi i did a whole layout in PSD. I did the whole slicing deal, and thats all good. Im worried about my links though. I did image mapping for all the links. Do all search engines read these? Should i hide the links at the bottom for the robots to find them? Also do search engines read alt text, because currently my whole layout except for the first intro page is images.

If you have a look at Google's cache snap shot of a page that uses alt tags on a picture link and then click on the link "cached text only" this is the true cache of the page and is what Google actually indexes, you will notice that the alt tag is shown as a clickable text link. After seeing this my own personal view is the same weight is placed on the link as a text link.

including alt tags on pictures is a good way of increasing your keyword density but don't over do it or you may risk being droped for spamming! 3/10 keyword density is what I would aim for.
