I've been building a list of free directories that do not require a recip link.

Take a look at the list here, and feel free to add to it if you know of others.

(There's a section for recip and paid directories too)

Go ahead and "post" you directory in the proper section. I review submissions every 2 - 3 days and if yours is submitted to the correct section it will be approved/released from the moderation que.

I have a directory that I started a while ago. It's not all that beautiful, but it will give you a PageRank 4 link. I do ask that you do not submit sites with Spammy Keyword titles, just the actual title of your site:

Go ahead and add it to the appropriate listing in my forum. Quite a few people view the directories included on those lists, so it should help you drum up a submission or two.
