My alexa ranking never stop improving since i installed the alexa toolbar and place their widget at the bottom of my site.
Alexa ranking maybe worthless but i value it because it bring my site more traffic.

Well it would now wouldn't it.

As YOU have the toolbar installed, it is counting every visit that YOU make to the pages

Uninstall the toolbar and watch it drop down again.
Don't kid yourself into thinking how wonderful it is, when it is probably only you creating the alexa traffic.

i think Alexa ranking is totally garbage...it wont bring you any traffic even you are in 1st place.

Like John said Alexa is only measuring traffic. It's not sending you traffic. It won't bring your site more traffic.

Some SEO specially the beginners use Alexa to measure competitors traffic even its not accurate but for them its useful tool I hope they change that kind of idea.

I agree, the Alexa rankings are hap-hazard at best. I mostly use Alexa to find contact information of website owners.

I'd say that alexa has Importance that's why it is going on. If it's a garbage as most of users saying, this must be closed yet but its still going well.

it proves the importance of Alexa.
