never ever could that happen. People love simplicity and hate change... and Google sort of reflects that. It hasn't really changed its userfriendly approach since it started and because of that I believe it will be around as #1 for a LOOOONG time!

I wouldnt think so, bing have banned one of my sites for no reason what so ever, and I cant seem to get back in either, says im indexed but still dont show, so Im not very happy with bing at all !

Well, i don't think bing or any other search engine can beat google but I can say it can give a little competition to google.

I don't think so. Bing is a good search engine. But it can't beat Google. Google is a well established search engine. Bing should focus on real time search. Google owns over 60% of the search market share. Bing can't beat Google.

For me Bing won't defeat Google or even Yahoo. For me Bing is just a new search engine that needs to be optimized first.

We can all say that google is a stable search engine compared to a newer one like bing. Google has found ways on how to counter blackhat tactics or web spam effectively without changing much on their theme, compared to Bing which is a new search engine and doesn't have that much experience, so sooner or later if more and more people focus on optimizing in bing, definitely blackhat strategies will pop out. This means that bing will change its algorithm from time to time to stop abusers, in short Bing is not a stable search engine compared to google.

Bing has been attractively packaged and the moolah behind it, but to take on google's se features would take some effort.

For Bing to dominate the search engine world while Google is still on, I would have said imopossible but I've learnt never to use the word impossible for anything. himanshu2smart, you said that bing has got some very nice innovations like Image Search without pagination, Video Mouse hover preview, Local intelligency, Categoried search, Instant Answers etc which is not present in google but have You taken time to check out Google's innovations that are absent from bing and even some of those "new Bing innovations' are innovations by Google that was refurbished by Bing to do theirs.

I still try bing and get frustrated with the results, google almost always gets me what I want and always seems to know the context of my search even when i dont provide it.

Though sometimes i still do test yahoo / bing when im bored... The whole "decision engine" seems a little stupid to me and turned me off because i dont need a computer to "make decisions" for me, not that it really can anyways.

I do not think so . I have about 1500 back-links in Google but only 10 in bing so I do not think that bing has good technology as Google

Bing has many more features like displaying scores from a specific day, shows direct stock information, product shopping and cash back. Also there are as many new features. Though it has as many features, Google will stand in my view.

Right now Google is very large and its really impossible to beat google. But you might in china google is complelety banned and people bing as main search engine. So obviously now people are much attracted towards bing.

Bing also display some unique features in it search engine which makes surfer more easier to find the result. But it needs decade to beat google not just in 1 or 2 year.

At least 35 years if ever unless they do a better deal with NASA than Google and something miraculous happens in the meantime.
