The Other Search Engines

hi,

recently I have been getting a lot of links to my website, I did this all by emailing different web sites.

Today however, I have just read that getting a link only increases your web rank for the anchor text.

eg,

<a href="www.google.com">google</a>

Will that only increase your rank for the search term google? in this case.

I hope it doesnt as have used the title of my website for every link!

Yep, anchor text is the key. Also you should use your keywords in your title, this is given the most weight in terms of on-page SEO.

Yeah I have my keywords in my title. I meant when I said title, as the over all name of my website.

I guess I best get back and ask all those links people if they will change the anchor text
