Just type at Google "search engine submission". However, you'd be much better off getting links which will get you in the SEs sooner or later, and for free.

There are only a couple of search engines worth being on. You can submit to all of them for free. As reload2 said get a few links pointing to your site from other sites already in the index and you will get indexed quicker than manual submission.

Check with your hosting partner. They may be able to help you.

I would manually submit to the MAJOR search engines. SE's may frown on the "automated submissions" and ignore them.

I would submit to Google once a month until listed. Google powers Alexa, so I would submit to Alexa once a month as well. I would also try to get listed on DMOZ. This did wonders for me. A lot of engines use their directory. They ignored my site for over a year until I "asked why" to one of the editors. A week later SearchBliss was listed. I would also submit to MSN, which powers AltaVista, and so one.

But here is the best advice I can give any webmaster. If you want this all done for you fast. Get your site into the Inktomi database. They power results for Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Alexa, Altavista, AOL/Excite, AlltheWeb, HotBot and many more. It may cost a fee, but it is worth it. SearchBliss is indexed every 48 hours by Inktomi and then updated on all of these engines as a result. This allows us to "tweek" our site and see the results every 2 days.

Google does not get it's results fed from anyone, neither does MSN anymore (as the beta is becomming live). I also reccomend not submitting to Google more than once. They will visit your page and it may take a couple of months, if after this time Google does not deep crawl your website then that means there are problems with your pages, either Google can not find the internal links for deems your site not worthy of crawling (keyword spam, ffa's, nothing but links on a page, etc.).

cptnwinky, I mean no disrespect, but then how do you explain my site being updated on all of these engines including Google every 48 hours? I pay a fee to Microsoft bCentral, my site is then indexed by Inktomi every two days, and then bingo. All listings are updeted (every two days). Search for SearchBliss on Google and you'll see "www.searchbliss.com/ - 30k - Jan 20, 2005 " under the description. By tommorrow you will see "Jan 22, 2005". And I'm not the only site

Google updates some sites more frequently than others. Most of this decision has to do with page design and frequency of updated content. Here is a good read on Google for webmasters...

http://www.google.com/intl/en/webmasters/

The real question is why would they pull in results from Inktomi after spending thousands of dollars on equipment and thousands of hours building their own index. Also, their PR algo would be useless if it was dependent on Inktomi results.
