The Other Search Engines

Does anyone have any thoughts about Yandex.ru and trying to optimize a site for their algorithms?
I've been hearing a lot lately about how Yandex's market share is growing quickly and I'm thinking that it may be wise to take advantage of this wave. Will the same SEO methods used to influence Google PR have a similar effect on Yandex results?

A search engine (??) called yandex.ru has been so 'busy' on one of my sites (just indexing) that I will have to pay extra money to the host. I'm talking
about tens of thousands of Web pages fetched per day and I can't see if there's anything coming in return (the stats package doesn't recognise it).
The search site has PR8 (yandex.ru homepage), so it's probably used by some people. Has anybody else had similar issues? How should one handle this?

I get a lot of international traffic, and although none of the search engines come even remotely close to my Google results, I get more Yandex results than Bing and Yahoo combined.

As far as SEO methods, can't help you there. I'm sure just having a great site and great content is always going to be the best you can do.
