So, I am always told to do these website submissions every month. We use some program and I click a button, then it uploads to like a billion jillion search engines... Is this pointless? My gut feeling says yes.

Thought for today:- Is SEO the only industry where all the cowboys are Indians?
What about book marking your sites in Google reader? Does that force Google to index your page every day? Another, no in my book, but I might be wrong. I was told to bookmark all of our sites in Google Reader... we have over 300 domains haha.
These things are just pointless ineffectual time wasting.
Why does your site need indexing every day?

My best performing sites have never been submitted to search engines. They are indexed automatically because they find other quality sites linking to me.
Yes it's worthless since they index the web automatically.

I use spinsucces for submiting my website to 100000 search engines,medium and large and 15 major engines.I use this service for about 2 months but i can not say if it is good or not.My site have been indexed by yahoo and other engines but steel not by google.
In the same time i am building backlinks to make my site indexed by google.
From what i read on forums/blogs/websites building relevant backlinks from sites/blogs etc is the most inportant part of SEO to have your site indexed fast and receve some targeted traffic.
Are you familiar with the phrase "You're having your plonker pulled"??
