Hi,

I just discovered the importance of Dogpile- it’s a meta search engine. It is commonly used as reference for a majority of online tools. I checked out the results and observed many ads that said- ‘sponsored by’ and ‘found on ads by Google’. It appears to me that they are mixing natural listings and paid listings. If they are paid, then it is not a big nofollow deal since they route via a click server. Plus, they are tagged as ads so there is nothing fishy about it. But they are not divided in blocks the way Google does it.

Dogpile was once a good, upcoming SE.

Then google came along and wrecked all that.

Dogpile is nothing more than a pile of dog...

Used dogpile about ten years ago (or so)...it was great...
Now I think it has become so-so.......

If you want to play with some meta search engines do a Google search...there are some that seem to be pretty good...
My opinion is that the money has taken over from the quality....
