How can i Promote my new site Witch is going to launch very soon. My sites contains lots of information and fun. Like it has some Funny Pictures link, Jokes, Funny Movies, Wallpapers, Background Images, webmaster tips etc.

I now about the basic things like meta tags or submitting the sites in a different directory.

But i now that is not enough for promotion.
Plz tell me the key factors to promote the site. I want i now every thing before going to launch my site.

I suggest that you optimise if greatly for search engines, you won't have to spend a penny.... if you can do it yourself. If not it will cost. But you really need to opimize it.

Find some top sites in your niche and ask for link exchanges. That should geive you a good amount of visitors.
I have fun based website too, btw. send me a pm if you want to consider exchanging links
